The intestinal Stenotrophomonas maltophilia ZG-GX enhances the resistance of Spodoptera frugiperda to beta-cypermethrin and decreases the amino acid levels

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum
Spodoptera frugiperda is an invasive agricultural pest with a high tolerance for chemical insecticides. An increasing number of studies have reported that intestinal microbes of insects can affect host resistance to insecticides. Therefore, in this study,

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Transonic Turbulence and Density Fluctuations in the Near-Sun Solar Wind

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We use in situ measurements from the first 19 encounters of Parker Solar Probe and the most recent five encounters of Solar Orbiter to study the evolution of the turbulent sonic Mach number M _t (the ratio of the amplitude of velocity fluctuations to the

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Optimal Network Analysis through Vertex Order Coloring of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Graph Operations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
Intuitionistic fuzzy graphs IFGs are a powerful tool for modeling uncertainty and complex relationships. They offer versatile frameworks for addressing real-world challenges. In this research, we have introduced intuitionistic fuzzy vertex order coloring

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Improvement of Seed Germination, Seedling Vigor and Yield of Achillea santolina and A. millefolium by Physical Priming Techniques [PDF]

open access: yesIkufīziyuluzhī-i Giyāhān-i Zirā̒ī, 2018
To study the effect of physical primings on growth and yield of Achillea santolina and A. millefolium two experiments were conducted in Islamic Azad University of Tabriz, Iran, with three replications during 2014.
