A couple of remarks on the convergence of $σ$-fields on probability spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The following modes of convergence of sub-$\sigma$-fields on a given probability space have been studied in the literature: weak convergence, strong convergence, convergence with respect to the Hausdorff metric, almost-sure convergence, set-theoretic convergence, monotone convergence.

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

Weighted statistical convergence of order α and its applications

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, 2016
The definition of weighted statistical convergence was first introduced by Karakaya and Chishti (2009) [1]. After that the definition was modified by Mursaleen et al. (2012) [2].

Strong Convergence Theorems of the CQ Method for Nonexpansive Semigroups

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2007
Motivated by T. Suzuki, we show strong convergence theorems of the CQ method for nonexpansive semigroups in Hilbert spaces by hybrid method in the mathematical programming.

The strong convergence of operator-splitting methods for the Langevin dynamics model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We study the strong convergence of some operator-splitting methods for the Langevin dynamics model with additive noise. It will be shown that a direct splitting of deterministic and random terms, including the symmetric splitting methods, only offers strong convergence of order 1.

Elasticity of Diametrically Compressed Microfabricated Woodpile Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Modulus–porosity relationship is derived for woodpile lattices with struts under diametrical compression. The formula presented here that Young's modulus is proportional to the square of the volume fraction E˜ρ2$E \sim \left(\rho\right)^{2}$ is shown to be consistent with computations and laboratory experiments on 3D‐printed samples.

Strong Convergence Theorems for Lipschitzian Demicontraction Semigroups in Banach Spaces

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2011
The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study the strong convergence problem of the explicit iteration process for a Lipschitzian and demicontraction semigroups in arbitrary Banach spaces.

On Some Further Generalizations of Strong Convergence in Probabilistic Metric Spaces Using Ideals

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Following the line of (Das et al., 2011, Savas and Das, 2011), we make a new approach in this paper to extend the notion of strong convergence and more general strong statistical convergence (Şençimen and Pehlivan, 2008) using ideals and introduce the ...

Multifunctional Design of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Structures for Temporary Pediatric Fixation Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A metallic implant's higher stiffness compared to the surrounding bone leads to stress shielding problems, causing bone density reduction and bone growth interference in pediatric patients. 3D‐printed triply periodic minimal surface structures present a promising engineering solution.
