The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (leftâhand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.

On Strong Convergence for Maxima
In the present paper, a generalization of the first part of the Borel-Cantelli lemma is obtained by the recent work of Balakrishnan and Stepanov (2010). This generalization is further applied to derive strong limit results for the sequence of maxima.

In this study, the mechanical response of Yâshaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feedâforward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stressâstrain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.

The role of various alloying elements in faceâcentered cubic aluminum on the barrier of a Shockley partial dislocation during its motion is presented. The study aims to understand how alloying atoms such as Mg, Si, and Zr affect the energy landscape for dislocation motion, thus influencing the solid solution hardening and softening in aluminum, which ...

Strong Convergence Theorems for Families of Weak Relatively Nonexpansive Mappings
We construct a new Halpern type iterative scheme by hybrid methods and prove strong convergence theorem for approximation of a common fixed point of two countable families of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex and uniformly ...
