Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

A Strong Regular Relation on ?-Semihyperrings [PDF]
The concept of algebraic hyperstructures introduced by Marty as a generalization of ordinary algebraic structures. In an ordinary algebraic structure, the composition of two elements is an element, while in an algebraic hyperstructure, the composition of

ON STRONGLY SEMI-REGULAR SPACES
Summary: The authors introduced in [Properties of \((\theta,s)\)-continuous functions, Topology Appl. 123, No. 1, 167-179 (2002; Zbl 1010.54010)] the notion of strong semi-regularity to investigate the class of \((\theta,s)\)-continuous functions [\textit{J. E. Joseph} and \textit{M. H. Kwack}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc.

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

STRONGLY π-REGULAR MORITA CONTEXTS [PDF]
A ring \(R\) is strongly \(\pi\)-regular, if for each \(a\in R\) there exists a positive integer \(m=m(a)\) such that \(a^mR=a^{m+1}R\). A ring \(R\) is of bounded index, if there exists a positive integer \(n\) such that \(a^n=0\) for all nilpotent \(a\in R\). The main result is the following.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

On Strongly Regular Graphs and the Friendship Theorem
This paper presents an alternative proof of the celebrated friendship theorem, originally established by Erdős, Rényi, and Sós in 1966. The proof relies on a closed-form expression for the Lovász ϑ-function of strongly regular graphs, recently derived by

Directed Strongly Regular Cayley Graphs over Metacyclic Groups of Order 4n
We construct several new families of directed strongly regular Cayley graphs (DSRCGs) over the metacyclic group M 4 n = 〈 a , b | a n = b 4 = 1 , b − 1 a b = a − 1 〉 , some of which generalize those ...
