The automorphism group of a class of strongly regular graphs related to Q(6,q)

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2008
Let \(Q(6,q)\) be a nondegenerate parabolic polar space in \(PG(6,q)\). Define the following graph \(\Gamma(q)\): the vertices of \(\Gamma(q)\) are all non-degenerate elliptic quadrics \(Q^-(5,q)\subset Q(6,q)\) and two vertices are adjacent provided the corresponding elliptic quadrics intersect in a tangent 4-space, that is, a cone \(pQ^-(3,q ...

Space time manifolds and contact structures

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1990
A new class of contact manifolds (carring a global non-vanishing timelike vector field) is introduced to establish a relation between spacetime manifolds and contact structures.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

On Strongly - Regular Rings

open access: yesمجلة ابحاث كلية التربية الاساسية
In our study we examine  definition of strongly γ -regular rings and associates, investigate  interplay between strongly γ - regular rings and other reduced rings. We also study GP – injective modules, and discuss its relation with strongly

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Avalanche activity and socio-environmental changes leave strong footprints in forested landscapes: a case study in the Vosges medium-high mountain range

open access: yesAnnals of Glaciology, 2018
The medium-high mountain ranges of Western Europe are undergoing rapid socio-environmental changes. The aim of this study is to show that their landscape can be strongly shaped by the actions of avalanche activity, humans and climate.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

5-chromatic strongly regular graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper, we begin the determination of all primitive strongly regular graphs with chromatic number equal to 5. Using eigenvalue techniques, we show that there are at most 43 possible parameter sets for such a graph.
