On some strongly regular relations on hyperrings
In this paper first by the fact that the relation $α^*$ is the transitive closure of two its subrelations we introduce and analyze a binary relation $λ^*_e$ on a hyperring such that the derived ring is a unitary ring. Next we introduce and study the notion of $λ_e$-parts in a hyperring and we characterize $λ_e$-parts in a $λ_e$-strong hyperring $R ...

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

On strongly regular graphs with μ⩽2 [PDF]
In this paper we prove that any strongly regular graph with μ=1 satisfies k⩾(λ+1)(λ+2) and any strongly regular graph with μ=2 is either a grid graph or satisfies k⩾12λ(λ+3).

Selenium deficiency is linearly associated with hypoglycemia in healthy adults
Objective: The trace element selenium (Se) is needed for regular biosynthesis of selenoproteins, which contribute to antioxidative defense systems and affect redox-regulated signaling.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Serum visfatin in chronic renal failure patients on maintenance hemodialysis: A correlation study
Background and aim of work Endothelial dysfunction, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease are strongly linked to chronic kidney disease. It has been hypothesized that visfatin may play an important role in uremia-related atherosclerosis and the ...
