Evaluation of the system accuracy of frameless stereotactic radiosurgery using a combination of cone beam CT, six degrees of freedom couch, and surface image‐guided systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of the frameless linear accelerator‐based stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS) system incorporating cone‐beam CT (CBCT), six degrees of freedom (6‐DoF) couch, room laser, and surface image‐guided (SG) systems.

Biosorption of Strontium from Aqueous Solution by the New Strain of Bacillus sp. Strain GT-83 [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2009
An attempt was made to isolate bacterial strains capable of removing strontium biologically. In this study ten different water samples collected from Neydasht spring in the north of Iran and then the bacterial species were isolated from the water samples.

Application of hydrochemistry and strontium isotope for understanding the hydrochemical characteristics and genesis of strontium-rich groundwater in karst area, Gongcheng County, Southwest China

open access: yesJournal of Groundwater Science and Engineering
Understanding the hydrochemical characteristics and genesis mechanisms of strontium-rich groundwater is pivotal for supporting the exploitation and utilization of natural strontium-rich groundwater. In this research, 27 groundwater samples were collected.

Differential polarizability at 1064 nm of the strontium intercombination transition [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 110, 032819 (2024)
We measure the scalar, vector and tensor components of the differential dynamic polarizability of the strontium intercombination transition at 1064 nm. We compare the experimental values with the theoretical prediction based on the most recently published spectroscopic data, and find a very good agreement.

NLTE strontium abundance in a sample of extremely metal poor stars and the Sr/Ba ratio in the early Galaxy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Heavy element abundances in extremely metal-poor stars provide strong constraints on the processes of forming these elements in the first stars. We attempt to determine precise abundances of strontium in a homogeneous sample of extremely metal-poor stars.

Improving dose delivery in non‐coplanar cranial SRS: Stereoscopic x‐ray‐guided mitigation of table walkout errors

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Purpose Linear accelerator (LINAC)‐based single‐isocenter multi‐target (SIMT) treatment has streamlined the cranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) workflow. Though efficient, SIMT delivery adds additional challenges that should be considered, including increased sensitivity to rotational errors for off‐isocenter targets.

An investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery for 1–3 cm single brain lesions on the ring‐mounted Halcyon LINAC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose An evaluation of the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the Halcyon ring delivery system (RDS) for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment to relatively small (1–3 cm) brain lesions. Methods After completing the extensive in‐house quality assurance checks including Winston–Lutz test and independent dose verification via MD Anderson ...

Strontium ion can significantly decrease enamel demineralization and prevent the enamel surface hardness loss in acidic environment

open access: yesJournal of the Formosan Medical Association, 2019
Background/purpose: Strontium ion may play a role similar to calcium ion in enamel remineralization. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of strontium ion concentration gradient on the demineralization of enamel.
