Spray Printing Glass

open access: yesChallenging Glass Conference Proceedings
The brainwave of spray printing glass (SPG) emerged in September 2021 and has become a feasible way of applicating glass in thin layers in June 2022. The whole idea started from a sustainable motive: Can we use less material and less energy for glass ...

Edge Strength of Annealed Float Glass: Influence and Optimization of Cutting Process Parameters

open access: yesChallenging Glass Conference Proceedings, 2022
The desire to apply annealed float glass with their economic and optical advantages is limited by the reduced edge strength due to the cutting process. The edge strength of annealed float glass is a decisive factor especially for insulating glazing due ...

Application of design sensitivity analysis for greater improvement on machine structural dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes
Methodologies are presented for greatly improving machine structural dynamics by using design sensitivity analyses and evaluative parameters. First, design sensitivity coefficients and evaluative parameters of structural dynamics are described. Next, the

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Co-design of a natural fiber-timber hybrid structural system using dual-robot coreless filament winding

open access: yesScientific Reports
This paper presents the co-design methods for a new hybrid load-bearing system as a strategy for advancing bio-based architecture. Timber and natural fiber polymer composites (NFPC) are combined into a hybrid system, offering opportunities to leverage ...

Composite fuselage technology (summary of year 2) [PDF]

open access: yes
The overall objective of this work is to identify and understand, via directed experimentation and analysis, the mechanisms which control the structural behavior of fuselages in their response to damage (resistance, tolerance, and arrest).

Computer programs for antenna feed system design and analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
Fourteen computer programs have been developed for antenna feed system design and analysis. The programs cover a large spectrum of feed design problems, from primary feed pattern synthesis to the farfield pattern of the main reflector, including analyses

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...
