Future Automation Engineering using Structural Graph Convolutional Neural Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The digitalization of automation engineering generates large quantities of engineering data that is interlinked in knowledge graphs. Classifying and clustering subgraphs according to their functionality is useful to discover functionally equivalent engineering artifacts that exhibit different graph structures.

Thermal proteome profiling and proteome analysis using high‐definition mass spectrometry demonstrate modulation of cholesterol biosynthesis by next‐generation galeterone analog VNPP433‐3β in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Towards a Systems Engineering based Automotive Product Engineering Process [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Deficit and redundancies in existing automotive product development hinder a systems engineering based development. In this paper we discuss a methodical procedure to eliminate deficits in the current product development and in turn to enable the introduction of a new systems engineering based development methodology.

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

Vulnerability and Robustness of Civil Infrastructure Systems to Hurricanes

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2017
Civil infrastructure systems play an important role in community resilience. Without proper functioning of the infrastructure, especially power delivery, society will not recover quickly from disruptive events, such as hurricanes.

Content and structure of laboratory packages for software engineering experiments [PDF]

open access: yesInformation and Software Technology, 97, 64-79, 2018
Context: Experiment replications play a central role in the scientific method. Although software engineering experimentation has matured a great deal, the number of experiment replications is still relatively small. Software engineering experiments are composed of complex concepts, procedures and artefacts.
