Theoretical study of phase stability, electronic and magnetic properties of Rh_{2}CrGe_{1-x}Al_{x} (x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1) Heusler alloys by FP-LAPW method

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2020
First-principle calculations were performed within the framework of the density functional theory (DFT) using FP-LAPW method as implemented in WIEN2k code to determine the structural stability, electronic and magnetic properties of Rh_{2}CrGe_{1-x}Al_{x}

CQ*-Algebras: Structure Properties

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 1996
Some structure properties of CQ * -algebras are investigated. The usual multiplication of a quasi *-algebra is generalized by introducing a weak- and strong product. The *-semisemplicity is defined via a suitable family of positive sesquilinear forms and some consequences of this notion are derived.

Quasiperiodic graphs: structural design, scaling and entropic properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A novel class of graphs, here named quasiperiodic, are constructed via application of the Horizontal Visibility algorithm to the time series generated along the quasiperiodic route to chaos. We show how the hierarchy of mode-locked regions represented by

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Effect of Sr doping on structure, morphology and transport properties of Bi$_2$Se$_3$ epitaxial thin films

open access: yes, 2019
We report molecular beam epitaxy growth of Sr-doped Bi$_2$Se$_3$ films on (111) BaF$_2$ substrate, aimed to realize unusual superconducting properties inherent to Sr$_x$Bi$_2$Se$_3$ single crystals.

Electronic and structural properties of alkali doped SWNT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Comprehensive experiments on structural and transport properties of alkali intercalated single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) are presented. The increasing electron density was measured as a shift of the Drude-edge in optical reflectivity in-situ with ...

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Controlling magnetic order and quantum disorder in molecule-based magnets. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate the structural and magnetic properties of two molecule-based magnets synthesized from the same starting components. Their different structural motifs promote contrasting exchange pathways and consequently lead to markedly different ...

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility of sequences of sets

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
The paper is devoted to the study of limitwise monotonic sets, as well as to the investigation of the main structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility (lm-reducibility) between set and sequence of sets.
