CQ*-Algebras: Structure Properties

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 1996
Some structure properties of CQ * -algebras are investigated. The usual multiplication of a quasi *-algebra is generalized by introducing a weak- and strong product. The *-semisemplicity is defined via a suitable family of positive sesquilinear forms and some consequences of this notion are derived.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Reconstruction of the ZnAl Mixed Oxides Into the Layered Double Hydroxide Catalysts Active in the Aldol Condensation of Furfural: The Role of ZnO Particles

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
A memory effect is the ability to restore the original, lamellar layered double hydroxide structure. Herein, we have described 1) the changes in the structural and basic properties of ZnAl mixed oxides during their transformation into ZnAl-reconstructed ...

Structural investigations of CeIrIn${_5}$ and CeCoIn${_5}$ on macroscopic and atomic length scales

open access: yes, 2014
For any thorough investigation of complex physical properties, as encountered in strongly correlated electron systems, not only single crystals of highest quality but also a detailed knowledge of the structural properties of the material are pivotal ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Suppression of the thermal hysteresis in magnetocaloric MnAs thin film by highly charged ion bombardment

open access: yes, 2014
We present the investigation on the modifications of structural and magnetic properties of MnAs thin film epitaxially grown on GaAs induced by slow highly charged ions bombardment under well-controlled conditions.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility of sequences of sets

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
The paper is devoted to the study of limitwise monotonic sets, as well as to the investigation of the main structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility (lm-reducibility) between set and sequence of sets.
