Structure-Activity Relationships in Glucocorticoids

1979
Meaningful answers to the question of the relationship between glucocorticoid structure and activity have emerged. Structural change has predictable effects on susceptibility to the action of metabolizing enzymes, on receptor affinity, and on intrinsic activity. These effects are, in principle, amenable to mathematical modeling techniques.

Activity diversity structure-activity relationship of polysaccharides from lotus root varieties.

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2017
The in vitro activities of 39 polysaccharides from different parts of 13 lotus root varieties were evaluated and introduced into multiple linear regression analysis to explore the structure-activity relationships using their chromatographic fingerprint ...

Inhibition of α-amylase by flavonoids: Structure activity relationship (SAR).

Spectrochimica Acta Part A - Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2019
Flavonoids are recognized to regulate animals' food digestion processes trough interaction with digestive enzymes. The binding capacity of hesperetin (HES), luteolin (LUT), quercetin (QUE), catechin (CAT) and rutin (RUT) with pancreatic α-amylase were ...

Structure-Activity Relationships

2019
In-depth analysis of the structure of the drug and its subsequent modification yield drugs with high affinity and increased receptor specificity with an improved pharmacokinetic profile. Modification of the parent molecule of catecholamines, called β-phenyl-ethyl-amine, provided orally active adrenergic bronchodilators, long-acting β2-adrenergic ...

Structure-Activity Relationships

1971
Most fungicides available today were discovered empirically. The information from these studies can be used to integrate structural characteristics of a fungicide with its toxic action. The characteristics so identified portray, in part, the nature of fungitoxic action.
