Ultrasound‐Boosted Liposomal Prodrug Overcomes Age‐Associated Biodistribution Disparity in Pediatric Solid Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The age‐associated disparity of nanocarrier biodistribution limits the nanotherapeutics of childhood solid tumors. This study developed an ultrasound‐activated liposomal prodrug (CSCPTL) to overcome the age‐associated disparity of off‐target distribution.

Current experience with manual push subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg) in patients with immune deficiencies

open access: yesImmunological Medicine
Immunoglobulin G replacement therapy prevents infections in patients with antibody deficiencies. Subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg) has typically been administered via infusion pump, but the manual push technique offers a simple, convenient alternative ...

Fibrates Inhibit PLTP‐induced M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Increase the Sensitivity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma to ICIs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

Detection of antibodies to Sendai virus by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of antibodies to Sendai virus, a paramyxovirus, is described. The assay was found to be about 20-fold more sensitive than the hemagglutination inhibition assay.

Dual Targeting of Mutant p53 and SNRPD2 via Engineered Exosomes Modulates Alternative Splicing to Suppress Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 drives oncogenic splicing to promote the progression of ovarian cancer by partnering with the spliceosome factor SNRPD2. Therefore, it is engineered iRGD‐exosomes to co‐deliver siRNAs against both targets. This approach restored tumor‐suppressive mRNA isoforms, effectively enhanced sensitivity to cisplatin, and ultimately blocked tumor ...

Thoracic duct fistula and renal transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Thoracic duct drainage (TDD) was established for 21-115 days in 40 kidney recipients with an average removal per patient day of 4.7 1 lymph and 1.88 billion cells. Cellular and humoral immunity were depressed. TDD and immunosuppressive drugs were started

A Modular Vaccine Platform Against SARS‐CoV‐2 Based on Self‐Assembled Protein Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A modular BP26 nanoparticle vaccine platform incorporating the SpyTag/SpyCatcher system enables high‐density, repetitive antigen display with post‐expression flexibility. Conjugation of the SARS‐CoV‐2 RBD to BP26 nanoparticles elicits strong humoral immunity and confers protection against viral challenge in vivo.

Health-related quality of life in patients with common variable immunodeficiency switching from intravenous to subcutaneous immunoglobulin therapy

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Internal Medicine, 2017
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is the most common symptomatic primary immunodeficiency disease (PID) among adults. CVID consists of two phenotypes – one in which infections are the characteristic and another in which impressive inflammatory and ...

HSP70 Interactome‐Mediated Proteolysis Targeting Chimera (HSP70‐PROTAC) for Ferroptosis‐Driven Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a novel targeted protein degradation strategy termed “HSP70‐PROTAC” that recruits Hsc70 complex to a target protein for inducing degradation. Among them, GDAz‐3 exhibits effective GPX4 degradation activity via UPS/CMA processes, triggering ferroptosis‐driven anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo.
