Safety of subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy in children: A retrospective review and bird eye to literature

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 2018
Subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) has been shown to improve clinical course in children with asthma and allergic rhinitis (AR). Systemic and local side-effects may be seen during its administration.

Adherence to allergen immunotherapy improves when patients choose the route of administration: Subcutaneous or sublingual

open access: yes, 2015
: Background: Immunotherapy has shown to be an effective treatment for the management of some IgE-mediated allergies. However, due to its long duration, a high number of patients withdraw from it before completion.

UBE2O Drives Immune Evasion and Radioimmunotherapy Resistance in Lung Cancer by Degrading CDKL1 to Induce PD‐L1 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
UBE2O targets CDKL1 for the degradation to upregulate PD‐L1 expression and promotes resistance to radioimmunotherapy in lung cancer, supporting the potential of targeting UBE2O as a promising therapeutic strategy. ABSTRACT Resistance to radioimmunotherapy is one of the primary causes of treatment failure in lung cancer patients; however, the underlying

A Chemically Defined Four‐Component Self‐Adjuvanting Tn Vaccine Activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 for Enhanced Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic four‐component vaccine has been developed combining Tn antigen, vizantin (Mincle agonist), rhamnose (antibody recruitment), and mannose (CD206 targeting). By synergistically activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 pathways, it elicits strong IgG switching and cytotoxic T‐cells, significantly inhibiting tumors in mice.

Targeting WDR12 Unleashes T‐Cell‐Mediated Antitumor Activity in Melanoma by Destabilizing CD276

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WDR12 cooperates with the chaperonin subunit CCT7 to maintain CD276 stability on tumor cells, suppressing T‐cell activity and promoting immune escape. SU14813, a small‐molecule WDR12 inhibitor, reduces CD276 stability and relieves CD276‐mediated T‐cell suppression.

Nano‐Confined Radical Anion as An NIR‐II Photothermal Immunogenic Amplifier for In Situ Cancer Vaccination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nano‐confined radical anion acts as a photothermal immunogenic amplifier. Kinetically stabilized nanoparticles couple high near‐infrared‐II (NIR‐II) photothermal efficacy with glutathione (GSH) depletion to boost reactive oxygen species (ROS) and immunogenic cell death (ICD).

Allergen Immunotherapy for the Treatment of Eosinophilic Esophagitis. An EAACI Task Force Systematic Review

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy
Background Multiple routes of allergen immunotherapy (AIT) are approved for several IgE‐mediated allergic diseases; however, the use of AIT in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) remains controversial and is supported by limited evidence.
