Electrochemistry of potentially bioreductive alkylating quinones : Part 1. Electrochemical properties of relatively simple quinones, as model compounds of mitomycin- and aziridinylquinone-type antitumour agents [PDF]
The influence of methyl-, hydroxy and amino substituents on the electrochemical behaviour of simple 1,4-naphtho-and 1,4-benzoquinones, model compounds of many quinoid antitumour agents, in aqueous media was studied. Significant changes in electrochemical

Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Mechanism of C−F Reductive Elimination from Palladium(IV) Fluorides [PDF]
The first systematic mechanism study of C−F reductive elimination from a transition metal complex is described. C−F bond formation from three different Pd(IV) fluoride complexes was mechanistically evaluated.

This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

This article presents a photo‐responsive nanoparticle platform that precisely triggers copper‐dependent cuproptotic cell death in (drug‐resistant) cancer cells. The system remains stable and inactive in the dark but releases cytotoxic species upon red‐light irradiation, achieving potent activity in drug‐resistant breast cancer cells.

Substituent effects on aromatic interactions in water
Measurements using chemical double mutant cycles show that electron-withdrawing groups lead to remarkable increases in the stability of aromatic interactions, and the magnitude of the effect is much larger in water than in chloroform solution.

ABSTRACT In this work, we introduce a trifluoromethoxy (OCF3) group as a pseudo‐halogen terminal group design for non‐fullerene acceptors, which combines strong inductive electron‐withdrawing ability with moderate resonance donation. The as‐synthesized BTP‐OCF3, when benchmarked against its methoxy analogue BTP‐OCH3, demonstrates narrowed bandgap ...

Effect of Substituents in Mussel‐inspired Surface Primers on their Oxidation and Priming Efficiency
Marine mussels contain an abundant catechol moiety, 3,4‐dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA), in their interfacial foot proteins. DOPA contributes to both surface adhesion and bridging between the surface and overhead proteins (surface priming) by taking ...
