Monoamine Oxidase Substrates and Substrate Affinity [PDF]

open access: yesSchizophrenia Bulletin, 1980
The evidence that there are two forms of monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes is reviewed. On the basis of various substrate affinities, differential inhibition by deprenyl and clorgyline, and heat inactivation, there appear to be a type A and a type B MAO in various tissues.

BROADBAND SUBSTRATE TO SUBSTRATE INTERCONNECTION

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research C, 2015
A broadband substrate to substrate microwave circuit interconnection is proposed using bond wires and defected ground structure (DGS). The proposed square-shaped DGS etched under compensated microstrip open stubs not only expands its operating bandwidth, but also increases the characteristic impedance of microstrip line without narrowing its width ...

CVD of solid oxides in porous substrates for ceramic membrane modification [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The deposition of yttria-doped zirconia has been experimented systematically in various types of porous ceramic substrates by a modified chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process operating in an opposing reactant geometry using water vapor and ...

A Study of Static and Dynamic Mechanical Behavior of the Substrate in Ultrasonic Consolidation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A new 2-D FEM model is developed for a fundamental study of the time dependent mechanical behavior of the substrate in ultrasonic consolidation. The simulation shows that for a given vibration condition, the amplitude of contact friction stress and ...

Strategies of cadmium and zinc resistance in willow by regulation of net accumulation

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2011
This work was performed to find out if metal resistant clones of Salix viminalis L. are capable to achieve high resistance to the metals by regulating their net accumulation.

Effects of Repeated Sand Replenishment Projects on Runs of a Beach-Spawning Fish, the California Grunion

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2020
Beach habitats are diminishing globally, particularly in urban areas, as sea-level rise, erosion, and shoreline hardening, along with reduced sediment inputs, combine to squeeze the coast. In California, USA an endemic marine fish, the California grunion,
