An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

INFLUENCE OF SUBSTRATE THICKNESS ON DIFFUSE COPLANAR SURFACE BARRIER DISCHARGE PROPERTIES

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2014
In presented work the influence of dielectric barrier thickness on the parameters of Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge was investigated. The discharge was operated at atmospheric pressure laboratory air.

Influence of ground substrate on establishment of reindeer lichen after artificial dispersal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Methods to improve the recovery of reindeer lichen after soil disturbance or overgrazing are being sought for areas where reindeer are herded. The effects of four substrates – mineral soil, moss, twigs and pine bark – on the establishment of lichen ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Substrate Doping and Defect Influence on P-Rich InP(001):H Surface Properties

open access: yesSurfaces
Density-functional theory calculations on P-rich InP(001):H surfaces are presented. Depending on temperature, pressure and substrate doping, hydrogen desorption or adsorption will occur and influence the surface electronic properties. For p-doped samples,

Glycerolipid synthesis in isolated adipocytes: substrate dependence and influence of norepinephrine.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1992
Studies of fatty acid (FA) esterification by adipocytes have led to conflicting views with respect to how the process is regulated by norepinephrine (NE).
