Substructure synthesis method for buckling analysis in frames
Meccanica, 2007An everlasting objective of Structural Stability and Structural Dynamics is the development of approximate methods that yield highly accurate results (critical loads, and natural frequencies and modes) and that involve low numbers of degrees of freedom.

Synthesis of a tetracyclic substructure of manzamine A
Tetrahedron Letters, 1992Abstract A synthesis of tetracyclic manzamine A substructure 28 is described. The route involves (1) a new approach to perhydroisoquinolines, (2) a Mitsunobu reaction that process with net retention of configuration using a new N-acyl sulfonamide ( 16 ) and (3) a high yield preparation of a Δ 3,4 -azocine via an intramolecular N-alkylation.

Towards the Total Synthesis of Jerangolids – Synthesis of an Advanced Intermediate for the Pharmacophore Substructure [PDF]
The jerangolids are a class of natural products with a skipped diene substructure isolated from Sorangium cellulosum. Here, we present a new strategy for the total synthesis of these compounds based on a skipped diyne as central building block and a ...

Synthesis Towards the Spiroacetal Substructure of Didemnaketal A [PDF]
A wide variety of natural products have been isolated from Didemnum species of ascidians, and a survey of such compounds is presented. The didemnaketals are the only spiroacetal containing natural products to be elaborated by this genus, with didemnaketal A showing the greatest activity against HIV-1 protease.

Synthesis of Expanded Graphdiyne Substructures
Chemistry - A European Journal, 2000Graphdiyne (1) is a member of a novel family of interesting and potentially important allotropes of carbon. Reported herein are the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of model substructures 2-6. The macrocycles were prepared by the intramolecular cyclization of suitable alpha,omega-polyynes.

Substructure system identification and synthesis
Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1993This paper explores the possibility of performing system identification at the substructure level and then synthesizing the results to obtain an analysis model for the assembled structure. The study here shows that to produce exact substructure coupling, the input-output transfer function relations among all of the interface degrees of freedom must be ...

On substructure synthesis with FRF data
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1995Summary: A new physically and mathematically generalized receptance coupling method is presented in this paper. This new method overcomes some shortcomings of the commonly used receptance coupling methods. There are two modified formulae: one completes the substructure synthesis in a single step, and the other couples two joint co-ordinates at each ...

First synthesis of an ABCE ring substructure of daphnicyclidin A
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2022The ABCE tetracyclic ring system of daphnicyclidin A was prepared using an intramolecular (4 + 3) cycloaddition of an oxidopyridinium ion as the key step.

On the Substructure Synthesis Method
AIAA Journal, 1981Substructure synthesis is a model reduction method whereby a complex structure is regarded as an assemblage of substructures. The motion of each of the substructures is represented by a series of admissible functions (vectors), and the substructures are made to act as a single structure by imposing certain geometric compatibility conditions at the ...

Synthesis of the Right-Hand Substructure of Solanoeclepin A
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2001A synthesis of the right-hand substructure 7 of solanoeclepin A (1), the most active natural hatching agent of potatocyst nematodes, was approached by an intramolecular [2+2] photocycloaddition. The construction of the strained bicyclo[2.1.1]hexane skeleton was achieved in five steps from dioxenone 9.
