PCSK9 Inhibitors Reduce Oxidative Stress Biomarkers in Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
ABSTRACT Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors, such as alirocumab and evolocumab, effectively reduce LDL‐C levels, improve cardiovascular outcomes, and are well tolerated in the treatment of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).

Autoactive MtDMI1 Reprogrammes Immunity and Development in Tomato via Ethylene Signalling
ABSTRACT The Common Symbiosis Signalling Pathway (CSSP) underpins interactions between plants and microbes, yet its potential for crop improvement remains underexplored. Here, we investigated the gain‐of‐function mutant SPD1 (MtDMI1S760N), which constitutively activates the symbiotic signalling pathway in Medicago truncatula, by expressing it in tomato

Processing and release of endogenous immunogenic peptide signals
SUMMARY In both animals and plants, small secreted peptides known as cytokines and phytocytokines mediate local and systemic communication during immune and stress responses. These signaling molecules are typically synthesized as inactive precursors that require proteolytic processing to become active.

Abstract The food enzyme subtilisin (EC 3.4.21.62) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Bacillus licheniformis strain NZYM‐CX by Novozymes A/S. The safety of this food enzyme was evaluated previously and it did not give rise to safety concerns when used in eight food manufacturing processes.

Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens (NDA) was asked to deliver an opinion on the safety of an oil derived from the microalga‐like organism Schizochytrium sp. A2 as a novel food (NF) pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
