Single‐Nucleus RNA Sequencing Reveals Mid‐Gestational Neurodevelopment Features in the Superior Temporal Plane from Fetuses with Nonsyndromic Cleft Lip and Palate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of mid‐gestation brains from fetuses with nonsyndromic cleft lip and palate reveals major disruptions in cell composition, cell‐to‐cell signaling, and gene regulation. The transcription factor MEF2C is identified as a central regulator of these changes and shows that lowering MEF2C impairs synapse formation, linking cleft ...

AGAPIR: A Novel PIWI‐Interacting RNA Enhancing Post‐Decompression Angiogenesis in Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The restoration of blood flow following surgical decompression for degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) significantly contributes to the amelioration of neurological deficits. This study identifies AGAPIR, an angiogenesis‐associated PIWI‐interacting RNA, enhances angiogenesis and motor function recovery post‐spinal cord decompression in a mouse model

Implantable Ion‐Selective Organic Electrochemical Transistors Enable Continuous, Long‐Term, and In Vivo Plant Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work explores ion‐selective organic electrochemical transistors for real‐time, long‐term potassium monitoring in the xylem sap of living trees. This bioelectronic approach provides new insights into plant physiology and has the potential to revolutionize forest, agricultural, and ecological monitoring for smarter, more sustainable plant management.

PCSK9 Loss‐of‐Function Disrupts Cellular Microfilament Network via LIN28A/HES5/JMY Axis in Neural Tube Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PCSK9 acts as a molecular chaperone promoting LIN28A lysosomal degradation. LIN28A elevates transcription factor HES5, increasing JMY expression. PCSK9 loss causes neural tube defects (NTDs) by disrupting the LIN28A/HES5/JMY axis, and high JMY disorganizes the neural progenitor cell microfilament network, leading to incomplete neural tube structure in ...

Snord15b Maintains Stemness of Intestinal Stem Cells via Enhancement of Alternative Splicing of Btrc Short Isoform for Suppression of β‐Catenin Ubiquitination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In intestinal stem cells (ISCs), Snord15b associates with Ilf2 to recruit splicing factors for alternative splicing of Btrc mRNA, leading to the generation of short Btrc. This short Btrc fails to form a functional E3 ubiquitin ligase complex for β‐catenin ubiquitination and degradation.
