Periodic Table Exploration of MXenes for Efficient Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction to Ammonia. [PDF]

open access: yesSmall
Electrochemical nitrate reduction (NO3RR) offers a sustainable alternative to the Haber‐Bosch process for ammonia production. This study explores MXenes as electrocatalysts, analyzing their performance experimentally and theoretically. Ti3XTx MXenes demonstrated superior efficiency, ammonia yield, and stability.

Determination of Antioxidant, Antidiabetic, Anticholinergic, Antiglaucoma Properties and Comprehensive Phytochemical Content by LC-MS/MS of Bingöl Honeybee Pollen. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr
Phytochemical content and comprehensive biological activities of Bingöl bee pollen were determined for the first time in this study. Enzyme inhibition and antioxidant studies are valuable. ABSTRACT Honeybee pollen is the most important food and protein source for bees. It is a highly nutritious natural product for humans due to its content.

Application of MnO2 Nanorod–Ionic Liquid Modified Carbon Paste Electrode for the Voltammetric Determination of Sulfanilamide

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
The current work introduced a convenient single-phase hydrothermal protocol to fabricate MnO2 nanorods (MnO2 NRs). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and field-emission ...

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

The effect of sulfanilamide on the electrocrystallization of copper on a single crystal copper (110) plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
The presence of small quantities of sulfanilamide in a highly purified acidic CuSO4 electroplating bath alters the growth habit of Cu on a single-crystal Cu(110) plane. At a given c.d.

Towards a Molecular Level Understanding of the Sulfanilamide-Soil Organic Matter-Interaction [PDF]

open access: yesScience of the Total Environment 559, 347 (2016), 2016
In-depth understanding of the sorption mechanisms of organic pollutants, like the antibiotic sulfanilamide (SAA), in soil requires a combined experimental and theoretical approach. Therefore, sorption experiments of SAA on well-characterized samples of soil size-fractions were combined with the modeling of SAA-soil-interaction via quantum chemical ...

Protein folding causes an arrest of preprotein translocation into mitochondria in vivo [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
With vital yeast cells, a hybrid protein consisting of the amino- terminal third of the precursor to cytochrome b2 and of the entire dihydrofolate reductase was arrested on the import pathway into mitochondria.
