Ramalin Ameliorates Alzheimer's Disease Pathology by Targeting BACE1, HDAC6, and MAPK Pathways

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Ramalin alleviates Alzheimer's disease pathology by selectively inhibiting HDAC6, reducing BACE1 levels, and suppressing neuroinflammation through downregulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome and iNOS. It restores synaptic function impaired by Aβ toxicity and improves cognitive performance in AD mouse models, APP/PS1 and 3xTg‐AD.

Improving in vitro Gastrointestinal Stability of Phlorotannins From Food Grade Fucus vesiculosus Extracts Using Cyclodextrins

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Phlorotannins have gained significant attention for their potential bioactive and functional properties. However, these compounds are highly sensitive to gastrointestinal digestion, which limits their bioavailability and consequently the in vivo efficacy.

Effects of Clarified Açaí Supplementation and Photobiomodulation on the Parotid Glands of Rats Submitted to Chemotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Oral Pathology &Medicine, Volume 55, Issue 1, Page 120-132, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The antineoplastic drugs used in anticancer treatment regimens can induce changes in normal tissues, including salivary glands. This study evaluated the effects of clarified açaí and photobiomodulation (PBM) on the oxidative biochemistry and microstructure of the parotid glands of rats with oral mucositis. Methods Male rats (n = 54)

A Review of the Control of Coccidiosis in Poultry Using Natural Additives, Focusing on Gut Health and Immunity

open access: yesAdvances in Agriculture, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Coccidiosis is one of the most common diseases in the poultry industry worldwide (especially in broilers aged 3–6 weeks), causing significant economic losses to poultry farmers and governments every year. Conventional methods (anticoccidial chemical compounds) for the coccidiosis debarment and control always present challenges and disadvantages, such ...
