Chondroitin 4-sulfate: The structure of a sulfated glycosaminoglycan

Abstract The molecular conformation and crystal structure of a regular 3-fold helical form of chondroitin 4-sulfate have been refined by a process in which agreement between observed and calculated intensities is optimized, while non-bonded interactions are restrained simultaneously to reasonable values.
