Geopolitical Risk and Domestic Bank Deposits

open access: yesFinancial Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the relationship between global geopolitical risk and bank deposit flows across a wide panel of European countries. Motivated by the pivotal role of deposit stability for financial intermediation and systemic resilience, we explore whether geopolitical shocks alter depositors’ portfolio choices.

Surface Evolution of the Sun's Magnetic Field: A Historical Review of the Flux-Transport Mechanism

open access: yesLiving Reviews in Solar Physics, 2005
This paper reviews our attempts to understand the transport of magnetic flux on the Sun from the Babcock and Leighton models to the recent revisions that are being used to simulate the field over many sunspot cycles.

The Legacy of Policy Inaction in Climate‐Growth Models

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To better understand the structure and core mechanisms of a broad class of climate‐growth models, we study a simplified version of the dynamic integrated model of climate and the economy (DICE) through the lens of growth theory. We analytically show that this model features a continuum of saddle‐point stable steady states.

From the Proteome to Therapeutics: A Multi‐Database Approach to Drug Discovery in Periodontitis—An Exploratory Pilot Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Periodontology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This explanatory pilot study presents a workflow to identify approved drugs, which could be repurposed for periodontitis therapy using salivary proteomics combined with drug‐target database screening. Methods Proteomic analyses of saliva using LC–MS/MS were conducted in two independent settings: a cohort (sub‐study I, N = 187) and

Liquidity Crises and the Market‐Maker of Last Resort

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, EarlyView.
Abstract We study market illiquidity in an economy subject to nonfundamental shocks. Asset trading occurs via decentralized bargaining. The model has multiple rational expectations equilibria; we associate certain Pareto‐inferior equilibria with liquidity crises.

Size, not phylogeny, explains the morphology of the endosseous labyrinth in the crown clade Crocodylia

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 246, Issue 4, Page 558-574, April 2025.
Here, we present the most complete dataset to date on the endosseous labyrinths of extant crocodylians. Using 3D geometric morphometrics, we show that allometry constitutes a major contributor of the shape variation of the crocodylian endosseous labyrinths and that the development of this structure is likely linked to the braincase conformation, in all

Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Very-long-periodic Pulsations in Solar Meterwave Bursts: Implications for Their Origins

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We traced the origin of very-long-periodic pulsations (VLPs) in type-I burst chains on 2024 February 14. Seven successive and repetitive pulsation structures appeared in radio dynamic spectra in the metric waveband, which were simultaneously measured by ...
