Dynamic LHCI antenna and inter‐photosystem spillover enable flexible light harvesting in Euglena gracilis

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 126, Issue 5, June 2026.
Significance Statement Euglena gracilis is an early diverging photosynthetic organism with a unique mosaic photosynthetic apparatus. Biochemical and spectroscopic analysis reveals a kinetically slower photosystem I sharing excitation energy with photosystem II in the absence of strict photosystem segregation.

Enhanced Third‐Order Nonlinear Optics From In Situ Grown Lead‐Free Cs2AgInCl6 Double Perovskite Nanocrystals in Chalcogenide Glass

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 10, 27 May 2026.
This work successfully achieves the in situ nanocrystallization of lead‐free Cs2AgInCl6 double perovskite within a chalcogenide glass host. The novel composite demonstrates a remarkable synergy, leading to a strong enhancement in third‐order nonlinear optical properties and a substantially improved optical limiting response, thereby offering a stable ...

First observation of transverse mode instability in a high-power linearly polarized supercontinuum source

open access: yesHigh Power Laser Science and Engineering
Transverse mode instability (TMI) is a primary limitation for power scaling in high-brightness fiber lasers. This paper reports observation of the TMI effect in the process of supercontinuum generation, and demonstrates a 993 W linearly polarized ...

Low-power supercontinuum generation in Ge-rich SiGe waveguides from 4 to 13 μm wavelength

open access: yesAPL Photonics
The development of on-chip spectroscopic systems has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Such systems require broadband mid-infrared sources, resulting in the exploration of mid-infrared supercontinuum generation. This study focuses on reducing

A method of generating supercontinuum light and a supercontinuum light source [PDF]

open access: yes
The invention relates to a method of generating supercontinuum light comprising : providing frequency comb pump light and auxiliary pump light, wherein an auxiliary centre frequency is spectrally detuned with respect to a comb centre frequency by an auxiliary pump detuning; pumping a nonlinear medium associated with dispersive wave generation at a ...
