Analysis of triacylglycerol and phospholipid sn‐positional isomers by liquid chromatographic and mass spectrometric methodologies

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Analysis of triacylglycerol (TG) and phospholipid sn‐positional isomers can be divided into two main categories: (a) direct separation by chromatography or other means such as ion mobility mass spectrometry and (b) quantification of regioisomer ratios by structurally informative fragment ions with mass spectrometric methods.

Supercritical fluid extraction of wheat bran oil: Study of extraction yield and oil quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of wheat bran oil with pure supercritical carbon dioxide at different extraction pressures (25, 40, and 55 MPa) and temperatures (40, 70, and 95°C) has been studied. Since wheat bran contains important bioactive

Innovative Approach to Recycle Lithium‐Ion Battery Electrolytes via Sequential Chemical Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A chemical separation method is developed to recycle and purify nonaqueous electrolytes from spent lithium‐ion batteries. The new process consists of a sequence of precipitation in tandem with each distillation and solvent‐assisted vacuum extraction to obtain high‐quality electrolyte precursors.

Dimensionless scaling of heat-release-induced planar shock waves in near-critical CO2

open access: yes, 2017
We performed highly resolved one-dimensional fully compressible Navier-Stokes simulations of heat-release-induced compression waves in near-critical CO2. The computational setup, inspired by the experimental setup of Miura et al., Phys. Rev.

Biomimetic Thalidomide Nanoparticles: Targeted and Sustained Therapeutic Strategy for Oxygen‐Induced Retinopathy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Magnesium acetyl taurate and thalidomide co‐assembled nanoparticles (MT NPs) are prepared via Super‐stable Pure Nanomedicine Formulation Technology (SPFT), and the NPs are further coated with transferrin‐modified cell membrane vesicles to construct Tfm@MT nanomedicine for oxygen‐induced retinopathy treatment.

Mathematical Modeling of Supercritical Fluid Extraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The kinetics of supercritical fluid extraction of valuable substances from plants depends on both extract solubility in the solvent (or phase equilibrium between the matrix and the solvent) and mass transfer resistances, particularly the resistance inside vegetable material.
