Mechanochemical Degradation and Fluoride Recovery of Perfluorosulfonic Acid Polymer Membrane

The mechanochemical degradation of a perfluorosulfonic acid polymer (PFSA) used in fuel cells, was studied. The products were characterized by various techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy−energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy and liquid chromatography−mass spectrometry.
