Supergravities on branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Abstract Supergravity brane solutions allow for a generalised type of Kaluza-Klein reduction onto brane worldvolumes. The known replacement of a flat worldvolume metric by a Ricci-flat metric constitutes a consistent Kaluza-Klein truncation of the starting higher-dimensional supergravity theory down to a lower-dimensional pure ...

The DNA of Calabi–Yau Hypersurfaces

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Genetic Algorithms are implemented for triangulations of four‐dimensional reflexive polytopes, which induce Calabi–Yau threefold hypersurfaces via Batyrev's construction. These algorithms are shown to efficiently optimize physical observables such as axion decay constants or axion–photon couplings in string theory compactifications.

Five-dimensional Superfield Supergravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We present a projective superspace formulation for matter-coupled simple supergravity in five dimensions. Our starting point is the superspace realization for the minimal supergravity multiplet proposed by Howe in 1981.

Janis–Newman Algorithm: Generating Rotating and NUT Charged Black Holes

open access: yesUniverse, 2017
In this review we present the most general form of the Janis–Newman algorithm. This extension allows generating configurations which contain all bosonic fields with spin less than or equal to two (real and complex scalar fields, gauge fields, metric ...

Generalizing minimal supergravity [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2010
In Grand Unified Theories (GUTs), the Standard Model (SM) gauge couplings need not be unified at the GUT scale due to the high-dimensional operators. Considering gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking, we study for the first time the generic gauge coupling relations at the GUT scale, and the general gaugino mass relations which are valid from the GUT ...

Simultaneous Bosonic and Fermionic T‐Dualization of the Type II Superstring Theory—Buscher Approach and Double Space Representation

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract In this article I consider type II superstring in the pure spinor formulation with constant background fields in the context of T‐dualization. First, I prove that bosonic and fermionic T‐dualization commute using already known T‐dual transformation laws for bosonic and fermionic T‐dualization.

Six-dimensional origin of gravity mediated brane to brane supersymmetry breaking

open access: yes, 2014
Four dimensional supergravities may be the right framework to describe particle physics at low energies. Its connection to the underlying string theory can be implemented through higher dimensional supergravities which bear special characteristics. Their

On the supersymmetry invariance of flat supergravity with boundary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The supersymmetry invariance of flat supergravity (i.e., supergravity in the absence of any internal scale in the Lagrangian) in four dimensions on a manifold with non-trivial boundary is explored.

Supergravity scattering amplitudes

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2023
Supergravity theories with non-minimal Kähler potentials are characterized by a non-trivial field space manifold with corresponding non-trivial kinetic terms. The scattering amplitudes in these theories can be calculated at fixed background field values by making a field redefinition to Riemann normal coordinates.

On the paper “Bundle gerbes” by Michael Murray

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract The article gives a brief survey of Murray's notion of bundle gerbes as introduced in his 1996 paper published in the Journal of the London Mathematical Society, together with some of its applications.
