Worldsheet description of a massive type IIA superstring in 10D
We construct, following [1, 2], a massive M2-brane (supermembrane) as the limit of a genus two M2-brane that becomes a twice punctured Riemann surface with particular boundary conditions on the fields defined on the punctures.

Temperature instabilities in N=4 strings [PDF]
An effective supergravity description of all instabilities of N_4=4 superstrings is derived. The construction is based on the N_4=4 BPS mass formula at finite temperature and uses the properties of N_4=4 gauged supergravity. It provides the boundaries of

Negative Norms in Quantized Strings as Dark Energy Density of the Cosmos
The present short paper is concerned with accurate explanation as well as quantification of the so called missing dark energy of the cosmos. It was always one of the main objectives of any successful general theory of high energy particle physics and ...

Integrated massive vertex operator in pure spinor formalism
We construct the integrated vertex operator for the first massive states of open superstrings with (mass)2 = 1/α ′ in the pure spinor formalism of the superstring theory. This vertex operator is expressed in terms of the ten dimensional N = 1 $$ \mathcal{

Loop amplitudes monodromy relations and color-kinematics duality
Color-kinematics duality is a remarkable conjectured property of gauge theory which, together with double copy, is at the heart of a wealth of new developments in scattering amplitudes.

Theta expansion of first massive vertex operator in pure spinor
We provide the covariant superspace equations that are sufficient to determine the complete θ expansion of the vertex operator of the open string massive states with (mass)2 = 1/α′ in pure spinor formalism of superstring theory.

Eleven Dimensional Origin of String/String Duality: A One Loop Test [PDF]
Membrane/fivebrane duality in D=11 implies Type IIA string/Type IIA fivebrane duality in D=10, which in turn implies Type IIA string/heterotic string duality in D=6.

Inflation from superstring and M-theory compactification with higher order corrections [PDF]
We study time-dependent solutions in M and superstring theories with higher-order corrections. We first present general field equations for theories of Lovelock type with stringy corrections in arbitrary dimensions.

Model-Building for Fractional Superstrings [PDF]
Fractional superstrings are recently-proposed generalizations of the traditional superstrings and heterotic strings. They have critical spacetime dimensions which are less than ten, and in this paper we investigate model-building for the heterotic versions of these new theories.

A Note on the dS Swampland Conjecture, Non‐BPS Branes and K‐Theory
Abstract We point out that the de Sitter swampland conjecture would be falsified if classical fluxed Type IIA orientifold vacua with a single non‐BPS D7‐brane were indeed part of the string theory landscape. In other words, the dS swampland conjecture implies the cancellation of K‐theory charges on a compact space.
