Ceria-Zirconia Supported Catalysts for Air Pollution Control: Gold vs. Platinum.

open access: yes, 2017
Novel types of monometallic catalysts based on platinum or gold supported on ceria-zirconia mixed oxide were prepared and tested in the oxidation of different types of volatile organic compounds. It was shown that the type of noble metal, its particle size and/or loading are the key factors that influence the physicochemical properties of the catalysts

Early inotropic support without fluid bolus vs standard resuscitation in pediatric septic shock: A randomized controlled trial

open access: yesWorld Journal of Clinical Pediatrics
BACKGROUND The current 2020 surviving sepsis guideline recommends fluid boluses of 10-20 mL/kg/bolus up to 40-60 mL/kg, but recent studies showed better outcomes when fluid boluses were restricted. Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.
