Study on prediction method for the insulation of gypsum board using inclusive thermal conductivity in fire resistance tests

open access: yesJapan Architectural Review, 2018
In this study, a method for predicting the unexposed surface temperature of a wall is proposed based on the concept of “inclusive thermal conductivity,” which considers the heat and mass transfer of materials containing moisture.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Studies of the Adsorption of SO, H and O on a CrO Surface by an Electrical Conductivity Technique

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 1999
Electrical conductivity measurements have been used to detect extremely small changes in the oxygen content of oxide semiconductors in contact with reducing or oxidizing gases. In continuation of previous studies, the oxygen loss of chromium oxide in H 2

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Chalcogen passivation: an in-situ method to manipulate the morphology and electrical property of GaAs nanowires

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Recently, owing to the large surface-area-to-volume ratio of nanowires (NWs), manipulation of their surface states becomes technologically important and being investigated for various applications.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Surface Graphitized Mesoporous Carbon Surpasses the Conductivity–Porosity Trade‐Off

open access: yesAdvanced Science
In carbon engineering, a longstanding trade‐off persists: chemical activation increases surface area but sacrifices conductivity, whereas graphitization enhances conductivity at the expense of porosity.
