Tensile and fatigue properties of Inconel 718 at cryogenic temperatures [PDF]
Tests to determine the tensile and fatigue properties of Inconel 718 at cryogenic temperatures show that the alloy increases in strength at low temperatures, with very little change in toughness. The effect of surface finish and grain size on the fatigue

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Effect of Wood Surface Finish on Wood Species Classification Using Spectral Reflectance
Wood species can be classified by spectral reflectance. It is unclear whether finish coated on the wood surface affects the accuracy of wood species classification.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Parametric Effect on Surface Finish of Three-Dimensional Printed Object
The ability to use different parameters and finishing techniques in fused deposition modelling (FDM) depends largely on part geometries, materials, printing processes like Z-resolution and post processing to some extent.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Effect of surface finishing on tribological properties of ZrO2-based composites [PDF]
Laboratory-made ZrO2-based composites with 40 vol. % WC, TiCN or TiN were tested in dry sliding contact with WC-6wt%Co cemented carbide using an ASTM G133 pin-on-flat configuration.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
