Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Development and testing of an antenna made of an optically transparent conductive film

open access: yesFrontiers in Antennas and Propagation
IntroductionOptically transparent antennas are being actively developed for various industrial applications; however, their widespread deployment is often limited by low radiation efficiency.

Impedance of small obstacles and rough surfaces

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 1998
We calculate the longitudinal impedance for small obstacles of arbitrary shape located on the surface of a round perfectly conducting pipe. Calculations are carried out in a small-angle approximation that assumes a smallness of the angle between the ...

Electromagnetic scattering by impedance structures [PDF]

open access: yes
The scattering of electromagnetic waves from impedance structures is investigated, and current work on antenna pattern calculation is presented. A general algorithm for determining radiation patterns from antennas mounted near or on polygonal plates is ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

rf surface impedance of a two-band superconductor

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2019
In this paper, we extend the Mattis-Bardeen theory to obtain the surface impedance of a two-band superconductor, and apply it to magnesium diboride (MgB_{2}) for radiofrequency (rf) superconductivity applications. The numerical results for MgB_{2} are in

Surface impedance reconstruction

open access: yes, 2021
The Inverse Scattering problems related to objects having inhomogeneousimpedance boundaries are addressed by considering cylindrical bodies. Twomethods are presented: First, a method for the reconstruction of inhomogeneoussurface impedance of a two-dimensional (2D) cylindrical object of slightly varyingarbitrary shape located over a perfectly electric ...

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
