Spinning particles in curved space-time can have fermionic symmetries generated by the square root of bosonic constants of motion other than the Hamiltonian. We present a general analysis of the conditions under which such new supersymmetries appear, and discuss the Poisson-Dirac algebra of the resulting set of charges, including the conditions of ...

Split-SUSY versus SUSY GUTs [PDF]
The gauge coupling unification is one of main motivations in the split-SUSY scenario, and the existence of the grand unified theories (GUTs) is assumed. We examine how to realize split-SUSY mass spectrum in the context of GUTs and find that the construction of split-SUSY GUTs is by no means straightforward.

B physics represents a privileged place to look for supersymmetry (SUSY) through its virtual effects. Here we discuss rare B decays ($b \to s γ$, $b \to s g$, $b \to s l^{+} l^{-}$) and $B-\bar{B}$ oscillations in the context of low-energy SUSY. We outline the variety of predictions that arise according to the choice of the SUSY extension ranging from ...

The geometry of SUSY enhancement [PDF]
Abstract We provide a precise geometric picture that demystifies the phenomenon of supersymmetry enhancement along certain RG flows of four-dimensional field theories, recently discovered by Maruyoshi and Song. It applies to theories of arbitrary rank and it is based on a hyperkähler-structure restoration on the moduli space of ...

Abstract In response to the present status that searching for SUSY particles has been unsuccessful, we propose a bold scenario that SUSY particles are confined inside hadrons with a required condition of P R = 1

Introduction The specific uptake size index (SUSI) of striatal FP-CIT uptake is independent of spatial resolution in the SPECT image, in contrast to the specific binding ratio (SBR).

Three possible constructions of adverbially complemented noun phrases are attested in Swiss German. In (1), the indefinite article is doubled, whereas in (2) and (3) the article appears only once; it precedes or follows the adverb, respectively: (1 ...

CDE-1 suppresses the production of risiRNA by coupling polyuridylation and degradation of rRNA
Background Modification of RNAs, particularly at the terminals, is critical for various essential cell processes; for example, uridylation is implicated in tumorigenesis, proliferation, stem cell maintenance, and immune defense against viruses and ...
