Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Methylphenidate and Attention Deficit Disorder
The relative effects of sustained release (Ritalin [SR-207[) and standard methylphenidate (Ritalin 10 mg, BD) on cognitive and social behavior in 22 boys with ADD were investigated at a summer treatment program supervised by the Western Psychiatric ...

Inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase 7 impairs lysophagy in LLOMe‐treated HepG2 cells
DPP7 inhibition delays ubiquitin‐dependent lysophagy by attenuating ubiquitin accumulation and the recruitment of SQSTM1 and LC3 to damaged lysosomes, resulting in delayed clearance of damaged lysosomes and impaired restoration of lysosomal homeostasis. Created using FigureLabs (Certificate ID: FL‐PUB‐20260922‐Z99XNX).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Sustained PDGF-BB release from PHBHHx loaded nanoparticles in 3D hydrogel/stem cell model
This study aimed to design a growth factor loaded copolyester of 3-hydroxybutyrate and 3-hydroxyhexanoate (PHBHHx) nanoparticles containing 3D collagen matrix to achieve growth factor sustained release for long-term stimulation of human mesenchymal stem ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
