Methods for Detection of Lubrication Failure Applied to a Swashplate Compressor [PDF]
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Understanding lubrication failures at the shoe/swashplate contact of automotive swashplate compressors will greatly enhance the reliability of the air conditioning system. Maintaining proper lubrication is not always possible during transient conditions.

Experimental and Numerical Vibration Analysis of Hydraulic Pipeline System under Multiexcitations
Pipeline systems in aircraft are subjected to both hydraulic pump pressure fluctuations and base excitation from the engine. This can cause fatigue failures due to excessive vibrations. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the vibration behavior of the pipeline system under multiexcitations.

Helicopter Safe Landing Trajectory after Main Rotor Actuator Failures
Main rotor actuator failure leads to catastrophic accidents for single main rotor helicopters. This paper focuses on safe landing trajectories after an actuator is locked in place by the remaining actuators, without introducing other control inputs.

High-pressure axial piston pumps operate in high-speed and high-pressure environments. The contact state of the slipper against the swashplate can easily change from an oil film lubrication to a mixed oil film/asperity contact, or even dry friction.

Hydraulic systems are used to transform mechanical energy into fluid energy and vice versa. They are widely applied in various industries; e.g., they are used in automobiles, public works, rockets, machine tools, heavy construction equipment, and airplanes. Hydraulic pumps are used to transform the energy in these systems. In this study, with the basic

Open-Loop Simulation of Active Vibration Control of Electrically Controlled Rotor
An electrically controlled rotor (ECR), also known as a swashplateless rotor, is an active rotor system that reduces the vibration load of the rotor through active control while achieving primary control by using a trailing edge flap system instead of a ...

The Kinematics of the Swashplate Engine with two Rotating Pairs
Abstract The use of axial engines instead of traditional crankshaft mechanisms opens up additional possibilities to improve the dimension characteristics, regulation displacement volume, and compression ratio. The complex study of motion of all power mechanism elements is required for further engine optimization and improvements.

Detailed Experimental and Model-Based Analysis of a Swash-Plate Piston Expander for ORC Application
A 195 cm3 swash-plate piston expander was tested in an ORC using R245fa as working fluid. Rotational speeds ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 RPM and pressure ratios from 7 to 12 were imposed. In total, 65 steady state points were measured.
