Abstract Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB) is caused by the fungal pathogen Bipolaris maydis (syn. Cochliobolus heterostrophus Drechsler) and is a common disease of fall crops of sweet corn. Phenotyping for SCLB resistance is performed through visual scoring, which is subjective and may limit genetic gain for this quantitative trait.

Effect of Endophytic Fungi on Thrips tabaci Development and Population Dynamics
ABSTRACT Endophytic fungi are promising biocontrol agents because they colonise healthy plant tissues asymptomatically while inducing systemic resistance that negatively affects herbivorous insects. We investigated whether treatments with the endophytes Trichoderma harzianum and Beauveria bassiana in two onion cultivars (Allium cepa L.; Sturon and Red ...

Abstract BACKGROUND This study created functional fermented goat milk by adding blackberry pulp and probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus LA‐5 and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bb‐12). The preparation involved two variations of fermented goat milk with blackberry (Rubus sp.), distinguished by the absence (fermented goat milk, FGM) or inclusion

ABSTRACT Aquaculture, identified as a critical sector to bridge the fish supply gap, remains extensively vulnerable to the vagaries of climate change. In efforts to achieve a “triple win” effect on increased productivity, enhanced resilience and reduced emissions, climate‐smart aquaculture (CSAq) practices have been developed for implementation ...
