Studies on the “Fat by Hydrolysis” of the Sweet Potato Starch Part I
(1) 同一時に掘取った甘藷塊根(農林2号)のうち,小塊根と大塊根をえらび,それぞれ皮層部,形成層部,内部に分割して澱粉をとり,その一般的な諸性質や内部脂肪酸を比較した. (2) 小塊根の澱粉は各部位による差が少なく,ほぼ大塊根の形成層部に近い性質を持つが,大塊根では部位による違いが大きかった.すなわち,皮層部の澱粉は成長速度が遅いと思われ,難溶性でアミロースや脂肪酸含量も高かった.一方,内部の澱粉は粒度分布の幅が非常に広く,アミロースや脂肪酸は少なく,また夏期の高温時に成長したと思われる特徴もみられた.さらにアミロース量と内部脂肪酸量の間には相関的な関係があるように思われた.

Heat-Moisture Treatment of Sweet Potato Starch
サツマイモデンプンを用いて,水分含量,温度,時間を変えていわゆる湿熱処理を行い,処理デンプンの性質をVI粘度計による粘度図と温度図,およびX線回折計による回折図から調べ,次のような事実を明らかにした. (1) 処理時のデンプンの水分含量を一定にすると,処理デンプンの性質の変化は処理温度が高いほど,また時間が長いほどよく進む. (2) 温度と時間を一定にすると,変化はデンプンの水分含量に依存し,10%以下の水分ではかなり激しい条件でも変化がみられない. (3) 25%水分のデンプンを120°-30分処理すると, X線回折図にはじめてあきらかな変化がみとめられるが,のり化の際の粘度図と温度図にはこれよりもゆるやかな条件ですでに変化がみられる.またこれよりも激しい処理をすると,のり化の性質は順次変るが ...

Abstract Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB) is caused by the fungal pathogen Bipolaris maydis (syn. Cochliobolus heterostrophus Drechsler) and is a common disease of fall crops of sweet corn. Phenotyping for SCLB resistance is performed through visual scoring, which is subjective and may limit genetic gain for this quantitative trait.
