Switch-observer for switched linear systems
2017 IEEE 56th Annual Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2017To determine the switching signal and the state of a switched linear system, one usually requires mode observability. This requires that all individual modes are observable and that the modes are distinguishable. In theory, it allows to determine the active mode in an arbitrarily short time.

Stabilizing Switching Signals for Switched Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2015This article deals with stability of continuous-time switched systems under constrained switching. Given a family of systems, possibly containing unstable dynamics, we characterize a new class of switching signals under which the switched system generated by it and the family of systems is globally asymptotically stable.

Switching systems and switching software development in China
IEEE Communications Magazine, 1993The architectures of two medium-sized digital telephone switching systems that were developed in China, the DS-30 and HJD-04 systems, are discussed. The DS-30 is a 30000 line digital telephone switching system, with a total capacity of 300000 busy hour call attempts (BHCA) using digital line concentration and a time-space-time switch fabric.

Switching time optimization for discontinuous switched systems
2015 European Control Conference (ECC), 2015In this paper, an algorithm for switching time optimization for switched systems that exhibit discontinuities in the state trajectory on a switching is proposed. A derivative of the cost function with respect to the switching time is derived using a dynamic programming argumentation.
