Robust stability of switched systems

53rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2014
This paper presents a linear programming-based method for finding Lyapunov functions of switched systems with polynomial vector fields and parametric uncertainties. We propose to utilize a certificate of positivity in the Bernstein basis to find a Lyapunov function.

Uniform switching system by families of switching sets

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1993
Summary: The signal set for the uniform switching system by a family \({\mathcal S}\) of switching sets is defined as \(\underline{\mathcal S}{\overset\text{def} =} \{(S_ 1,\dots,S_ m)\): \(S_ t\in{\mathcal S}\) for all \(t\in M\}\), and \(|\{t\in M\): \(S_ t\ni i\}|=\) even for all \(i\in N\), where \(N=\{1,\dots,n\}\) and \(M=\{1,\dots,m\}\).

Switched Observers for Switched Linear Systems With Unknown Inputs

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2011
Two state observers are designed for some classes of switched linear systems with unknown inputs. The design of the proposed observers assumes that all switching subsystems fulfill a property of “strong detectability” that allows to implement suitable reduced-order unknown-input switched observers.

Test consulting system for switching systems

[1991] Proceedings The Fifteenth Annual International Computer Software & Applications Conference, 2002
The test consulting system (TCS) is an expert system that can automatically generate test scripts for testing switching systems from feature operation descriptions written in feature description elements (FDE). TCS also provides general information of switching system features and testing for reference.

Stability of reset switching systems

2003 European Control Conference (ECC), 2003
In the design of switching control systems, the analysis of transient signals is of utmost importance. Each time a control transfer takes place, the resulting transient response may degrade performance. When switching takes place rapidly, interaction between switching transients may cause instability even when each of the ‘component’ loops are stable ...

Asynchronous Switched Systems: ADT Switching

2016
This chapter first investigates the stability and \(l_2\)-gain analysis problems for a class of discrete-time switched systems with average dwell time (ADT) switching by allowing the Lyapunov-like functions to increase during the running time of subsystems.
