Full duplex switched ethernet for next generation "1553B" -based applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Over the last thirty years, the MIL-STD 1553B data bus has been used in many embedded systems, like aircrafts, ships, missiles and satellites. However, the increasing number and complexity of interconnected subsystems lead to emerging needs for more ...

Containing an epidemic in the case of running out of treatment: A switched system approach

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis
In this paper, we discuss an epidemic switched system. A susceptible–infected–treated model is considered. The course of an epidemic is profoundly influenced by the allocation of resources.

Stability Analysis for Discrete-Time Switched Nonlinear System Under MDADT Switching

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The problem of stability analysis for discrete-time switched nonlinear system is investigated with mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) method in this paper.

Design of an analog/digital truly random number generator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
An analog-digital system is presented for the generation of truly random (aperiodic) digital sequences. This model is based on a very simple piecewise-linear discrete map which is suitable for implementation using monolithic analog sampled-data ...

Fractional order PDα-type ILC for linear continuous time-delay switched system with disturbance measurement and uncertainties noise [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hyperstructures
This study investigates the efficacy of a novel PDα-type fractional-order iterative learning control (FOILC) approach for a class of fractional-order linear continuous-time delaying switched systems.

Why and When Are Evidence‐Based Interventions Adopted in Paediatric Supportive Care? A Qualitative Exploration of the Determinants of Photobiomodulation Implementation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

Real-time communication over switched ethernet for military applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet is a forecasted new technology for advanced military aircraft system interconnection. However, it was not originally developed to meet the requirements of real-time communications.

On the Convergence of Linear Switched Systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2011
This paper investigates sufficient conditions for the convergence to zero of the trajectories of linear switched systems. We provide a collection of results that use weak dwell-time, dwell-time, strong dwell-time, permanent and persistent excitation hypothesis. The obtained results are shown to be tight by counterexample.

Health‐Related Quality of Life and Symptom Severity Among Patients With PIK3CA‐Related Overgrowth Spectrum: A Mixed‐Methods Study to Understand Real‐World Experience With Alpelisib Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

Stability criteria for planar linear systems with state reset [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this work we perform a stability analysis for a class of switched linear systems, modeled as hybrid automata. We deal with a switched linear planar system, modeled by a hybrid automaton with one discrete state. We assume the guard on the transition is
