Impact of early dexmedetomidine administration on short‐ and long‐term outcomes in critically traumatic brain injury patients: A retrospective study using the MIMIC‐IV database

Our retrospective analysis of the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care‐IV (MIMIC‐IV) database suggests that early use of dexmedetomidine is associated with lower short‐term (28‐day and in‐hospital) and long‐term (1‐year) mortality in patients with traumatic brain injury.

Effects of Dexmedetomidine on the Behavioral Outcomes in Streptozotocin‐Induced Alzheimer's Disease Rats

Dexmedetomidine at 25 µg/kg effectively reverses working and spatial memory deficits in a streptozotocin (STZ)‐induced rat model of Alzheimer's disease, restoring Y‐maze alternation and Morris Water Maze performance. Higher doses show no clear benefit, highlighting Dex‐25 as a promising neuroprotective candidate.
