Imaging velocities of a vibrating object by stroboscopic sideband holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We propose here to combine sideband holography with stroboscopic illumination synchronized with the vibration of an object. By sweeping the optical frequency of the reference beam such a way the holographic detection is tuned on the successive sideband ...

Shot Noise in Digital Holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss on noise in heterodyne holography in an off-axis configuration. We show that, for a weak signal, the noise is dominated by the shot noise on the reference beam.

A Facile Fabrication Route of Poly(Ethylene Glycol Phenyl Ether Acrylate) Photopolymers with Efficient Optical Response for Holographic Storage

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
A series of photopolymers based on ethylene glycol phenyl ethyl arylate (EGPEA) monomers and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) matrix with varying initiator concentrations and sample thicknesses have been synthesized and their optical performance ...

Synthesizing computer generated holograms with reduced number of perspective projections

open access: yesOptics Express, 2007
We present an improved method for recording a synthesized Fourier hologram under incoherent white-light illumination. The advantage of the method is that the number of real projections needed for generating the hologram is significantly reduced. The new method, designated as synthetic projection holography, is demonstrated experimentally.

Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces With Spatial Modulation: An Electromagnetic Perspective

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2020
Electromagnetic wave control using the concept of a reflecting surface is first studied as a near-field and a far-field problem. Using a secondary source present in a wireless communication environment, such as a backscatter tag, it is possible to ...

Spatio-temporal scanning modality for synthesizing interferograms and digital holograms

open access: yesOptics Express, 2014
We investigate the spatio-temporal scanning of a single-pixel row for building up synthetic interferograms or digital holograms, shifted each other of a desired phase step. This unusual recording modality exploits the object movement to synthesize interferograms with extended Field of View and improved noise contrast.

Three-dimensional scanless holographic optogenetics with temporal focusing (3D-SHOT). [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Optical methods capable of manipulating neural activity with cellular resolution and millisecond precision in three dimensions will accelerate the pace of neuroscience research. Existing approaches for targeting individual neurons, however, fall short of

HoloTrap: Interactive hologram design for multiple dynamic optical trapping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This work presents an application that generates real-time holograms to be displayed on a holographic optical tweezers setup; a technique that allows the manipulation of particles in the range from micrometres to nanometres.

Curved multiplexing computer-generated hologram for 3D holographic display.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
A curved multiplexing method based on the curved computer-generated hologram (CCGH) is proposed theoretically and demonstrated experimentally to increase field of view (FOV) and spatial bandwidth. Point source method is used to calculate the CCGH. Curved

Cryogenic Volume-Phase Holograpic Grisms for MOIRCS

open access: yes, 2011
We have developed high dispersion VPH (volume phase holographic) grisms with zinc selenide (ZnSe) prisms for the cryogenic optical system of MOIRCS (Multi-Object near InfraRed Camera and Spectrograph) for Y-, J-, H- and K- band observations.
