Synthetic studies using B-keto esters
1976The dianions of β-keto esters have been generated using one equivalent of sodium hydride and one equivalent of n-butyl1ithium or two equivalents of lithium diisopropyl-amide. The reaction of these dianions with various epoxides was studied. On treatment of lithio sodio methyl aceto-acetate (55) with one and one-half equivalents of ethylene oxide and on

Synergism of antioxidants in synthetic ester oil
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 19661. A study has been made of the antioxidant effectiveness of [binary] mixtures of three phenolic inhibitors-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, 4,4′-methylene-bis(2,6-di-tert-butylphenol), and 2,2′-methylene-bis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol)- and of mixtures of these phenolic inhibitors with p-hydroxydiphenylamine and diphenylamine. 2.

Synthetic Cholesterol-Ester Antigens in Experimental Atherosclerosis
1967It seems fairly well established, as the result of previous reports [1, 2, 3] and of work reviewed elsewhere in this symposium, that stimulation of the RES can influence some aspects of lipid metabolism. Early work by Weinhouse and Hirsch [4] on the composition of atherosclerotic plaques showed that the principal sterol fraction was the esterified form.

Synthetic peptide and ester substrates for rennin
Journal of Dairy Research, 1969SummaryRennin hydrolysed the phe-met bond in the peptide H-ser-leu-phe-met-ala-OMe (i.e. methyl ester), the amino acid sequence of which is similar to that around the phe-met bond attacked by rennin in κ-casein. Rennin did not attack other peptides from this sequence not containing serine, and it is suggested that, in both κ-casein and the pentapeptide,

α‐Hydroxyboronate Esters: Formation and Synthetic Applications
Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015AbstractThe synthesis of α‐oxyboronate esters by the copper‐catalyzed diboration of carbonyls provides a facile method to access these versatile intermediates. The evolution of diboration conditions and approaches to allow the isolation of products derived from α‐hydroxyboronate esters is discussed.
