Objective Endovascular treatment has proven to be effective in improving the outcome of patients with large-vessel stroke. However, more than half of the patients experience poor outcomes despite successful recanalization, which was defined as futile ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Systemic Immune Inflammation Index in Ankylosing Spondylitis Patients
Objective: Our objective was to assess the relationship between disease activity and the systemic immune-inflammation index [SII; (platelet count × neutrophil count / lymphocyte count)] in individuals with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

This study investigated the correlation between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) and all-cause, cardiovascular, and kidney disease mortality in patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). It aimed to provide a new predictive assessment tool for the clinic and a scientific basis for managing ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.
