Impact of cumulative glucocorticoid exposure on vancomycin clearance in hospitalized children: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Prior glucocorticoid exposure is associated with modestly increased vancomycin clearance in hospitalized children, partly mediated by renal function and inflammation and may contribute to subtherapeutic early drug exposure. Abstract Introduction Augmented renal clearance (ARC) can lead to subtherapeutic vancomycin exposure in children.

Systems toxicology: applications of toxicogenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics in toxicology

open access: yesExpert Review of Proteomics, 2005
Toxicogenomics can facilitate the identification and characterization of toxicity, as illustrated in this review. Toxicogenomics, the application of the functional genomics technologies (transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics) in toxicology enables the study of adverse effects of xenobiotic substances in relation to structure and activity of the ...

Toward an integrative systems toxicology

Pharmacogenomics, 2004
10.1517/14622416.5.8.1163 © Assessing toxicity is among the most ancient and important of human endeavors. Long before the taming of fire or the advent of tool use, humankind was confronted with a most basic problem of existence: what to ingest. Today, toxicology impacts every facet of our lives – from the food, supplements and therapeutics that we ...
