Detection of T-2 toxin by an improved radioimmunoassay [PDF]
T-2 toxin in serum, urine, and saline was analyzed by a modified radioimmunoassay procedure. The specimens were added directly to the assay tubes without extraction steps. The reaction between antibody and ligands was optimal at 1 h. Albumin-coated charcoal was used to separate bound from free radioactivity.

The Effects of T-2 Toxin in Broiler Chickens
Abstract T-2 toxin is a mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium and small concentrations have been reported earlier to cause severe oral lesions in chickens. Graded concentrations (0, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 μg./g.) of dietary T-2 toxin were given to groups of 40 broiler chickens. A total of 240 chicks were used in these experiments.

Evaluation of mycofix to ameliorate the toxic effect of t-2 toxin on performance of broiler chickens [PDF]
The possible protective effect of Mycofix against the toxic effect of T-2 toxin in growing broiler chickens was investigated in two age stages; the first and second ages, ranged from 1-21 and 22-42 days, respectively.

T-2 Toxin Induces Apoptotic Cell Death and Protective Autophagy in Mouse Microglia BV2 Cells. [PDF]
T-2 toxin exposure could cause neurotoxicity; however, the precise molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In the present study, we investigated T-2 toxin-induced cytotoxicity and underlying molecular mechanisms using a mouse microglia BV2 cell line.

Fluorine impairs carboxylesterase 1-mediated hydrolysis of T-2 toxin and increases its chondrocyte toxicity. [PDF]
BackgroundT-2 toxin is recognized as one of the high-risk environmental factors for etiology and pathogenesis of Kashin-Beck disease (KBD). Previous evidence indicates decreased serum fluorine level in KBD patients.

Peroxiredoxin 4 Ameliorates T-2 Toxin-Induced Growth Retardation in GH3 Cells by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis. [PDF]
T-2 toxin, a highly toxic type A trichothecene, is a secondary fungal metabolite produced by various Fusarium species. The consumption of food and feed contaminated with T-2 toxin is a major factor contributing to growth retardation, posing significant ...
