Observation of T-2 Toxin and HT-2 Toxin Glucosides from Fusarium sporotrichioides by Liquid Chromatography Coupled to Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) [PDF]

open access: goldToxins, 2011
The trichothecenes produced by solid and liquid cultures of Fusarium sporotrichioides were evaluated with high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

Detection of T-2 toxin by an improved radioimmunoassay [PDF]

open access: bronzeApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1983
T-2 toxin in serum, urine, and saline was analyzed by a modified radioimmunoassay procedure. The specimens were added directly to the assay tubes without extraction steps. The reaction between antibody and ligands was optimal at 1 h. Albumin-coated charcoal was used to separate bound from free radioactivity.

The Effects of T-2 Toxin in Broiler Chickens

open access: hybridPoultry Science, 1973
Abstract T-2 toxin is a mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium and small concentrations have been reported earlier to cause severe oral lesions in chickens. Graded concentrations (0, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 μg./g.) of dietary T-2 toxin were given to groups of 40 broiler chickens. A total of 240 chicks were used in these experiments.

Efikasnost detoksikujućeg agensa kod T-2 toksikoze brojlera [PDF]

open access: yesActa Veterinaria, 2012
This investigation was conducted in order to investigate the efficacy of the detoxifying agent Mycofix® Plus (MP) in the prevention and/or alleviation in vivo adverse effects of T-2 toxin in broilers.

Evaluation of mycofix to ameliorate the toxic effect of t-2 toxin on performance of broiler chickens [PDF]

open access: goldIraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences, 2007
The possible protective effect of Mycofix against the toxic effect of T-2 toxin in growing broiler chickens was investigated in two age stages; the first and second ages, ranged from 1-21 and 22-42 days, respectively.

T-2 Toxin Induces Apoptotic Cell Death and Protective Autophagy in Mouse Microglia BV2 Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Fungi (Basel), 2022
T-2 toxin exposure could cause neurotoxicity; however, the precise molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In the present study, we investigated T-2 toxin-induced cytotoxicity and underlying molecular mechanisms using a mouse microglia BV2 cell line.

Fluorine impairs carboxylesterase 1-mediated hydrolysis of T-2 toxin and increases its chondrocyte toxicity. [PDF]

open access: yesFront Nutr, 2022
BackgroundT-2 toxin is recognized as one of the high-risk environmental factors for etiology and pathogenesis of Kashin-Beck disease (KBD). Previous evidence indicates decreased serum fluorine level in KBD patients.

Peroxiredoxin 4 Ameliorates T-2 Toxin-Induced Growth Retardation in GH3 Cells by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis. [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules
T-2 toxin, a highly toxic type A trichothecene, is a secondary fungal metabolite produced by various Fusarium species. The consumption of food and feed contaminated with T-2 toxin is a major factor contributing to growth retardation, posing significant ...

Effect of Deoxynivalenol and T-2 Toxin in Malt Amylase Activity [PDF]

open access: diamond, 2010
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of DON and T-2 toxin levels on the malt amylase activity. The malt was contaminated in accordance with central composite design experiment with DON and T-2 toxin levels until 1000 ng/g. The activities
