Protective effect of selenomethionine on T-2 toxin-induced liver injury in New Zealand rabbits. [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Vet Res, 2021
Background T-2 toxin is a mycotoxin produced by Fusarium species that is highly toxic to animals. Recent studies have indicated that Selenomethionine (SeMet) have protective effect against mycotoxins-induced toxicity.

f(T) Quantum Cosmology [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. D 100, 023546 (2019), 2019
We quantize a flat cosmological model in the context of $f(T)$ theory of modified gravity using the Dirac's quantization approach for Hamiltonian constraint systems. In this regard, first we obtain the Wheeler-DeWitt equation as the operator equation of the Hamiltonian constraint and solve it for some typical cosmological models of $f(T)=T-2\Lambda ...

New process for T-2 toxin production [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1982
Strains of Fusarium produced high levels of T-2 toxin when cultured on certain media absorbed into vermiculite. Modified Gregory medium was nutritionally complex (2% soya meal, 0.5% corn steep liquor, 10% glucose) and, when inoculated with the appropriate fungal strain, yielded maximum T-2 toxin within 24 days of incubation at 19 degrees C.

Autophagy and Apoptosis Interact to Modulate T-2 Toxin-Induced Toxicity in Liver Cells

open access: yesToxins, 2019
T-2 toxin is a mycotoxin generated by Fusarium species which has been shown to be highly toxic to human and animals. T-2 toxin induces apoptosis in various tissues/organs.

Environmental toxicity influences disease spread in consumer population [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
The study of infectious disease has been of interest to ecologists since long. The initiation of epidemic and the long term disease dynamics are largely influenced by the nature of the underlying consumer (host)-resource dynamics. Ecological traits of such systems may be often modulated by toxins released in the environment due to ongoing anthropogenic

T-2 Toxin-induced Toxicity in Pregnant Mice and Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
T-2 toxin is a cytotoxic secondary fungal metabolite that belongs to the trichothecene mycotoxin family. This mycotoxin is a well known inhibitor of protein synthesis through its high binding affinity to peptidyl transferase, which is an integral part of

Modeling sRNA-regulated Plasmid Maintenance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We study a theoretical model for the toxin-antitoxin (hok/sok) mechanism for plasmid maintenance in bacteria. Toxin-antitoxin systems enforce the maintenance of a plasmid through post-segregational killing of cells that have lost the plasmid. Key to their function is the tight regulation of expression of a protein toxin by an sRNA antitoxin.

Phenyllactic acid produced by Geotrichum candidum reduces Fusarium sporotrichioides and F. langsethiae rowth and T-2 Toxin Concentration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Fusarium sporotrichioides and F. langsethiae are present in barley crops. Their toxic metabolites, mainly T-2 toxin, affect the quality and safety of raw material and final products such as beer.

CsrA and its regulators control the time-point of ColicinE2 release in Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports 8, 6537 (2018), 2018
The bacterial SOS response is a cellular reaction to DNA damage, that, among other actions, triggers the expression of colicin - toxic bacteriocins in Escherichia coli that are released to kill close relatives competing for resources. However, it is largely unknown, how the complex network regulating toxin expression controls the time-point of toxin ...

T-2 toxin induced Salmonella Typhimurium intoxication results in decreased Salmonella numbers in the cecum contents of pigs, despite marked effects on Salmonella-host cell interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The mycotoxin T-2 toxin and Salmonella Typhimurium infections pose a significant threat to human and animal health. Interactions between both agents may result in a different outcome of the infection.
