Cytogenetic Changes in T Lymphocytes in Miners

open access: yesОбщая реаниматология, 2007
Objective: to study the impact of chromium levels on cytogenetic impairments in T lymphocytes in miners from the south of Kuzbass.Subjects and methods. Peripheral blood leukocytes were cultured, as described by P. S.

Multiple subsets of regulatory T-cells

open access: yesБюллетень сибирской медицины, 2020
Regulatory T-lymphocytes play a central role in the immunological tolerance system. To date, existence of many different subpopulations of regulatory T-cells have been described.

Recognition of viral glycoproteins by influenza A-specific cross- reactive cytolytic T lymphocytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Two populations of cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) generated after influenza A virus infection can be distinguished into one with specificity for the sensitizing hemagglutinin type and a second with cross-reactivity for antigens induced by other type-A ...

A unified model for Duchenne muscular dystrophy gene involvement in cancer: context‐dependent tumour suppression and oncogenicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We propose a context‐dependent model where the Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) gene acts as a tumour suppressor in aggressive tumours and as an oncogene in less aggressive ones. We propose this model as a unified framework to explain the opposing survival associations with DMD expression and to guide experimental exploration of the dual role of DMD ...

Lactoferrin treatment activates acetylcholinesterase, decreasing acetylcholine levels in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell culture supernatants, inhibiting cell survival

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Representation of the suggested mode of action of lactoferrin (Lf) in nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells. Lf induces activation of caspase‐3 by activating p53 and AChE leading to decreased ACh concentrations. In turn, ACh signaling leads to activation of VEGF and AKT and blocking of caspase‐3.

Clinical significance of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in breast cancer

open access: yesJournal of Immunotherapy for Cancer, 2016
Tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) play an essential role in mediating response to chemotherapy and improving clinical outcomes in all subtypes of breast cancer.

Inflammation in chronic degenerative disorders: A novel CD3+CD56+ subset that regulates CD8+ T cell effector function. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
It has been reported that a growing and heterogeneous group of regulatory cell modulate immune response. In particular, regulation of CD8+ T lymphocyte effector functions is critical for tissue homeostasis and immune tolerance control.

Indoleamine 2,3‐dioxygenase 1 inhibition reverses cancer‐associated fibroblast‐mediated immunosuppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CAF‐mediated immunosuppression in ovarian cancer is driven by IDO1, reducing T‐cell function. Inhibiting IDO1 restores T‐cell proliferation and cytotoxicity, increases cancer cell apoptosis, and may help overcome CAF‐induced immune suppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. Targeting IDO1 may improve antitumor immunity.

lHuman cytotoxic T lymphocytes with reduced sensitivity to Fas-induced apoptosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Effector-memory T cells expressing Fas (Apo-1/CD95) are switched to an apoptotic program by cross-linking with Fas-ligand (FasL). Consequently, tumors that express FasL can induce apoptosis of infiltrating Fas-positive T lymphocytes and subdue any ...

A pentapeptide as minimal antigenic determinant for MHC class I-restricted T lymphocytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Peptides that are antigenic for T lymphocytes are ligands for two receptors, the class I or II glycoproteins that are encoded by genes in the major histocompatibility complex, and the idiotypic / chain T-cell antigen receptor1–9. That a peptide must bind
