A Nonconventional Analysis of CD$4^{+}$ and CD$8^{+}$ T Cell Responses During and After Acute Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus Infection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
A mathematical model from a previous work was re-fitted and analyzed for experimental data regarding the cellular immune response to the lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus. Specifically, the $CD8^{+}$ T cell response to six MHC class I-restricted epitopes (GP* and NP*) and $CD4^{+}$ T cell responses to two MHC class II-restricted epitopes\cite ...

T cell subsets' distribution in elite karate athletes as a response to physical effort [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medical Biochemistry, 2019
Background: During karate fight muscles work at a very high intensity, and their contractions are extremely strong. The movement pattern contains a great number of feints, dodges, frequent changes in movements' tempo and direction, hits and kicks, all of

Intraepithelial Lymphocytes

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1980
Significant numbers of lymphocytes are normal components of most epithelia; however, despite intensive study their functional significance remains an enigma and a challenge. As in the gut epithelium, many of its lymphocytes appear to be rather than “antigen-drawn,” an indication that the tissue might be a differentiation staging post whence the ...

Antigen presentation by hapten-specific B lymphocytes. I. Role of surface immunoglobulin receptors. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The present study examines the ability of hapten-specific murine splenic B lymphocytes to present hapten-proteins to carrier-specific T cell hybridomas.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Bioinformatics designing of an mRNA vaccine for Mokola virus (MOKV) using immunoinformatics as a secure strategy for successful vaccine development

open access: yesBMC Immunology
The Mokola Virus belongs to the family Rhabdoviridae and is genotype 3 of the Lyssavirus genera. A small number of cases of animal and human encephalomyelitis, mainly scattered over sub-Saharan Africa, have been linked to the Mokola Virus (MOKV ...

Influence of the age and disease colorectal in immunity cutaneous pericolostomic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Objective: describe the immunological response in the dermal layer of the peri-colostomic region. Method: Forty-one patients with colostomies realized over eight weeks previously, were included. For the analysis of the immunocellular response in the peri-

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Controlling IL-7 injections in HIV-infected patients [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Immune interventions consisting in repeated injection are broadly used as they are thought to improve the quantity and the quality of the immune response. However, they also raised several questions that remains unanswered, in particular the number of injections to make or the delay to respect between different injections to acheive this goal ...

Autophosphorylation and the dynamics of the activation of Lck [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Lck (lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase) is an enzyme which plays a number of important roles in the function of immune cells. It belongs to the Src family of kinases which are known to undergo autophosphorylation. It turns out that this leads to a remarkable variety of dynamical behaviour which can occur during their activation. We prove that
