Nonlinear Talbot effect of rogue waves [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2014
Akhmediev and Kuznetsov-Ma breathers are rogue wave solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE). Talbot effect (TE) is an image recurrence phenomenon in the diffraction of light waves. We report the nonlinear TE of rogue waves in a cubic medium.

Ultrafast sub-nanometer matter-wave temporal Talbot effect

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
The coherent manipulation of the electron wavefunction at the atomic spatial and temporal scales is the fundamental breakthrough underlying far-reaching ultrafast phenomena as high-order harmonic radiation and attosecond pulse generation.

Angular Talbot effect [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
We predict the possibility of observing integer and fractional self-imaging (Talbot) phenomena on the discrete angular spectrum of periodic diffraction gratings illuminated by a suitable spherical wave front. Our predictions are experimentally validated, reporting what we believe to be the first observation of self-imaging effects in the far-field ...

Adeno‐associated virus serotype 2 capsid variants for improved liver‐directed gene therapy

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Background and Aims Current liver‐directed gene therapies look for adeno‐associated virus (AAV) vectors with improved efficacy. With this background, capsid engineering is explored. Whereas shuffled capsid library screenings have resulted in potent liver targeting variants with one first vector in human clinical trials, modifying natural ...

LRTM effect and electronic crystal imaging on silicon surface

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Some interesting phenomena have been observed in the laser reflecting Talbot magnification (LRTM) effect discovered at first, in which the high-order nonlinear imaging and the plasmonic structures imaging occur.

Generalized angle-orbital-angular-momentum Talbot effect [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Light containing twisted phase structures, i.e. light carrying orbital angular momenta (OAM), when propagating inside ring-core fibres leads to a complex interference dynamics resulting in the fundamental self-imaging phenomenon known as the Talbot ...

The Talbot Effect [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The goal of this project is to experimentally investigate the optical Talbot effect and the electron Talbot effect. The Talbot effect is a near-field diffraction effect which occurs when plane waves are incident upon a grating.

Talbot Effect of Non-Coaxial Bessel Beams

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
In recent years, the superposition of nondiffracting beams has been employed to construct Talbot effects with novel propagation properties. Here we discover that non-coaxial Bessel beams can also be used to construct the Talbot effect, which is a more ...
